What is a KIWANIAN?
We are men and women. We are professionals, educators, parents, managers, team members. We hail from all walks of life. We are volunteers working together and giving our best to change and improve the world, one child and one community at a time.
We are part of an international organization that is 250,000 strong and growing! Look in the mirror, a Kiwanian may very well be staring back at you!
Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis International club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Kiwanis members stage nearly 150,000 service projects, devote more than 6 million hours of service, and raise nearly US $100 million every year for communities, families, and projects.
In addition to enhanced opportunities to serve your community, membership in the Kiwanis Club of Hicksville unites you with people of like interests, provides access to diverse volunteer activities and projects, helps you achieve personal community service goals, creates an association with a world wide service organization, and provides a monthly magazine that will keep you informed of Kiwanis service activities throughout the world. Membership may also provide important business and professional contacts. Club dues are $125 per year.
Kiwanis Club of Hicksville members are encouraged to attend our monthly meeting whenever they can and to participate as a member of at least one of our service committees (check our calendar for more details). We invite anybody interested in becoming a member to join us at dinner to get to know the Club better as they consider joining our ranks.
